Job title: Junior Database Analyst

My client is a driven and successful company who is looking for a Junior Database Analyst to join their team. This role requires someone who is process orientated, effective and has the ability to build rapport with their clients. This role will be to support the Database Developer, the Lead Generation and Data Team.

Responsibilities:

Job Purpose

The ServiceNow platform is used by RMG and it's suppliers to manage all IT Service Management disciplines including Software Asset Management to ensure compliance to multi million pound IT software contracts. It is also increasingly used by Business facing applications such as PFW Resolve (used by 1000s of PFW Depot Users) and the CPC application for managing operational incidents impacting the delivery of mail. The ServiceNow platform is used by RMG and its suppliers as the core Service Integration & Management platform delivering ITIL disciplines such as Service Desk, Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Asset & Configuration, Knowledge and Event Management in order to support RMG’s IT Services 24 x 7 The ServiceNow Administrator and Developer is responsible for technical support, ongoing development and for improving the adoption and maturity of RMG’s ServiceNow implementation as detailed below: 


Key Accountabilities

Support, administration and development on the critical ServiceNow platform. Some of the development activities in flight are listed below.

•    Atos Migration Programme and on-boarding to ServiceNow

•    Cloud Enablement Programme

•    New HR Processes for Emergency Measures and rate expense claims

•    New Knowledge Management Process for the Information to Outcome Programme

•    PDA Access requests for the PDA Core Programme

•    New Contract Management process for TSM

•    New Policy Management Portal for HR

Key competencies:

•    ITIL Foundation Certificate

•    ServiceNow System Administrator Certification

•    Extensive and up-to-date knowledge of the ServiceNow platform including: Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script includes, workflows, Update sets and Contextual security.

•    Functional knowledge and experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Release, SLM, Service Catalog, Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Asset, Knowledge Management).

•    Knowledge of web based languages (JavaScript, HTML and Glide) are desirable but not essential

•    Experience of SDLC / Scrum methodologies and IT Project Management principles and techniques are desirable but not essential

•    Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills using considerable judgment and initiative when making choices, recommendations, or decisions.

•    Good verbal and written communication skills to explain complex solutions in a clear and concise manner to a wide variety of audiences, both business and technical.

•    Proven ability to be responsible for the daily administration, maintenance and Change Management.

•    Ability to work independently with minimal direction. Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment on business matters.
